The Margaret Armstrong Theatre consists of a practical 292m² performance space, able to house a wide range of productions to a high standard of professionalism.
The stage area features double-layer plywood flooring, fixed on sprung battens with a hardboard finish, which can be painted or fixed into to meet production needs. The default backdrop comprises of ceiling-to-floor black serge drapes on a double curtain track that spans the perimeter.
Capable of holding a maximum audience of 177, the theatre is equipped with 3 movable, telescopic seating units, which allow a range of performance formats.
There is a comprehensive cabling infrastructure, allowing patching of inputs and outputs throughout the Performing Arts areas. The facility also features dedicated lighting and sound booths, equipped with full industry-standard systems.
