Emma Booth

Work Based Learning Manager

I’ve been in work based learning for 16 years working in private, public and voluntary sector organisations including Ofsted inspection work. My job role at SRC is varied and presents many challenges moving forward with the ever changing landscape of apprenticeships. Key elements of being the WBL Manager is to monitor performance and recruitment of all cross college apprenticeships; support departments and design and implement solutions to organisational issues. Apprenticeships is a strategic priority within SRC, it’s my job to drive this message through BDU and the rest of the college.

I engage employers, forming ongoing relationships, assisting with staffing resource requirements and training needs.I understand the importance of providing the right training for every individual and business. I currently manage a number of vocational areas including hair and beauty, customer service, retail and hospitality. Christina Dearnley

My role is to develop links with businesses within the Tees Valley area to promote, recruit and grow apprenticeships both 16-18 and 19+ which can include existing staff already in employment. I am actively involved in engaging with employers to discuss their staffing resource requirements and training needs.
I provide a suitable matching/screening process and shortlist suitable candidates for interview. I have responsibility for managing a number of vocational areas including; Health & Social Care, Business Administration, Children’s & Young Peoples Services, Management, Science Technician and Facilities Management.

Dawn Smith

Business Development Co-ordinator

I worked for more than 15 years within the Recruitment Industry working in management and developments roles with the last 5 years spent within FE. I joined Stockton Riverside college to take up a role with the Business Development team promoting and recruiting 16-24 and 24+ apprenticeships in Business Admin, Construction Building, Motor Vehicle, Warehousing and Electrical Installation. My role is to help promote, recruit and grow apprenticeships. Engaging with employers and forming on-going relationships to help identify and understand training requirements. Samantha Millward

Partnerships & Funding Coordinator
I have worked in Business Development roles within the Further Education sector for 13 years and joined Stockton Riverside College in April 2016. My role is to coordinate and monitor the performance of the College’s subcontracted provision, ensuring that partners provide high quality training and complement the College’s curriculum offer. My role also includes coordinating and ensuring the completion of tenders for additional sources of funding to the College as well as mandatory applications that the College must complete such as the Register of Training Organisations (RoTO) and Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
