In order to access the programme individuals must be working (paid or voluntary for 150 hours per year) in an appropriate setting (for example a school, nursery, children’s centre, within special education needs) and have professional access to children under the age of eight for the duration of their studies. In addition, applicants must: • Be 18 years or over by 31 December in their first year of study • Have a level 3 qualification in a relevant area • Have experience working in early years • Undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check
