Introduction

The programme aims to help lecturers, mentors, teaching assistants and other workers in education develop their knowledge of educational practice and reflect on strategies for developing their professional practice. Applicants must be in paid or unpaid employment in an educational practice for at least two to five hours per week.

How will I learn

You will be taught through seminars, lectures, interactive workshop sessions and our virtual learning environment with allocated tutorial support which focuses on study skills. You will receive written and oral feedback to help you improve your future work.

What's next

Successful graduates may progress into a graduate teacher programme for teaching in primary, secondary or post-compulsory education or training settings. Graduates may also practice in a range of lifelong learning educational settings, such as FE colleges.

Additional Information

The programme will be assessed through course work. This will include essays, reports, case studies, research project and research critique.
