Introduction

This foundation degree will develop your skills to enable you to effectively support children’s learning in schools and other educational settings. It will be particularly beneficial for people who are working, or who wish to work, with children or young people to support teaching and learning, particularly those children and young people with special educational needs.

How will I learn

You will be taught through seminars, lectures, interactive workshop sessions and our virtual learning environment with allocated tutorial support which focuses on study skills. You will receive written and oral feedback to help you improve your future work.

What's next

After successful completion of the foundation degree, you can top-up to a full degree by completing the BA (Hons) Education and Training, delivered at both Stockton Riverside College and Redcar & Cleveland College.

The programme is assessed through course work which includes essays, reports, case studies, research reports and portfolio work.
