Rail - NVQ L2 Rail Track Engineering (8 Weeks)

We offer an 8 week Rail course which covers the practical and theoretical skills to work in Rail Track Engineering.

During the course, you will undertake Network Rail Safety Critical Training. As part of the course you will be provided with free PPE and may be subjected to medical and drugs/alcohol screening.

On completion of the course, you will be offered an interview with a local employer which could start you on your journey to a long-term career in the rail industry.

Introduction to Warehousing and Material Handling - Short Course

This is a 3-week programme designed as an introduction to the world of warehousing, logistics and material handling equipment.

Apprenticeships

We offer a range of apprenticeships which can be linked to the logistics industry including;
  • Supply Chain Operator – Planning, organising and transport and logistical movements around the UK and worldwide, liaising with multiple stakeholder to get customers goods delivered on time and in full
  • Supply Chain Warehouse Operative – Covering all aspects of the warehousing and distribution industry from goods in to delivering to customers and everything in between.
  • Team Leader - Equips you with the tools to work as a manager in today’s fast moving industries
  • Port Agent - A port agent, also known as a shipping agent or ship's agent, provides assistance to ships coming into a port. They are responsible for handling the necessary customs paperwork, coordinating with local suppliers for shipment's needs, arranging berthing (securing the ship to the dock), liaising with customs officials, and assisting with crew transfers ensuring a hips turnaround time is as efficient an quick as possible.
Tees Valley Logistics Academy

 

The Tees Valley Logistics Academy is set up to service the demands of the industry by working in close partnership with employers to identify the needs of the sector, offer bespoke training opportunities and help raise awareness among all ages.

Set up in collaboration with Stockton Riverside College, the Academy recognises that logistics is the very lifeblood of the Tees Valley’s industrial landscape; that is why it is so important, by working alongside industry employers and experts, we are able to offer a service that responds to real demands.
