Whether completing vocational qualifications, picking up GCSE grades, or making those vital next steps, there was plenty to smile about on results day at Stockton Riverside College.
We caught up with some of those seeing their own success.
LYDIA
The hard work and determination paid off for Lydia who achieved a fabulous grade 4 in her GCSE Maths.
Also completing her Level 1 in Catering, she said: “I feel brilliant and really proud of myself. I put lots of effort in, so I think I deserve this so much.”
The 21-year-old from Thornaby is now looking forward to continuing to progress in her studies at the college next year.
PHOEBE
It was top marks for Phoebe who achieved a fantastic A* in the Level 2 Health and Social Care course.
The 19-year-old from Middlesbrough is now progressing on to Choices College, a supported internship programme partnered with NHS healthcare settings for young people aged 16 to 24.
CURTIS
Well done to Curtis who achieved a distinction in his Level 2 Games Design course. Now continuing his studies at the college, for the 20-year-old from Stockton there’s sure to be more success ahead.
SOPHIE
With ambitions to work in the arts, Sophie has picked up a variety of qualifications studying at Stockton Riverside College.
Picking up a bundle of certificates on results day, the 20-year-old from Norton has most recently achieved the Entry Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English and Level 2 in Employability.
Sophie’s plans are now to volunteer at a summer drama school.
LUCY
Next step is a games design course for creative student Lucy who this summer achieved her Level 2 in Art and Design at Stockton Riverside College, passing with a merit.
The 20-year-old from Billingham said she is looking forward to continuing with her studies in September.
