Well done to all those Stockton Riverside College students celebrating their results today.

We caught up with just a few to share their success…

Charlotte

A massive well done goes to Charlotte after achieving impressive results in biology and maths.

Already holding a grade 9 for GCSE English, the 16-year-old today added a grade 8 in biology and grade 7 in maths to her CV.

Proud of all she has achieved, Charlotte’s tutor Janet Pinchbeck said: “We are so proud of Charlotte. She has shown excellent behaviour, she is committed, and she has the best attitude!”

Charlotte said, for her, the best thing about Stockton Riverside College was how friendly and supportive the people have been.

The next steps for her include moving onto the Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Her ambitions for the future are to get into university to study either classics, nursing or to become a paramedic.

Cameron

Stockton Riverside Collee student Cameron was thrilled when he opened his GCSE results. The 19-year-old achieved a grade 4 in English.

Following in his older brother’s footsteps, Cameron is due to start a business with accounting degree at Teesside University in September.

When asked how he felt about his result, Cameron said: “I’m absolutely over the moon. I just can’t believe I’ve finally got it.”

Well done Cameron.

Elisha

Celebrating a grade 4 in GCSE Maths today was health and social care student Elisha.

The 19-year-old former St Patrick’s pupil from Thornaby is now looking forward to moving on to a level 4 qualification, before progressing to Teesside University, with the ambition of ultimately becoming a social worker.

Angel

Overwhelmed to achieve a grade 5 in GCSE English today, Stockton Riverside College student Angel said: “I screamed when I found out I had passed!”

The former Ian Ramsey CE Academy pupil said she chose to study at the college because of its great location which is walking distance from her house.

The next steps for Angel are to progress onto Teesside University where she will train to become a paramedic. Well done Angel!
