Mel

It’s never too late to achieve your dreams! 49-year-old, Mel, from Stockton, worked hard to achieve her GCSE Maths and English and is already planning on coming back to study Science! The aspiring teacher studied alongside her administration job and described herself as “over the moon and tearful” about achieving such amazing grades. She said, “You are never too old to pursue a dream and get back into education. After being a teaching assistant for quite a few years I wanted to take the leap and go into teaching. I would love to work with primary school children and these results have put me one step closer.”

Katie

The dream of becoming a nursery teacher is one step closer for 17-year-old Katie. After successfully passing her GCSE English and Functional Skills Maths, she is excited at the prospect of starting her Level 2 Child Practitioner course. She said: “I am really happy with my results, I worked really hard and I am excited for the future.”

Georgina

Georgina has made the first steps on her journey to becoming a Marketing professional.

Hard work and persistence have paid off for the 19-year-old who after passing both her Functional English and GCSE Maths, is now planning on joining Teesside University to do marketing.

She said: “I’m so shocked, but also so happy! I would love to work in marketing or have my own business in the future so this is a great first step for me.”

Evan

Aspiring Web Comics Designer, Evan, was over the moon with his GCSE results today!

The 18-year-old says, “I wasn't expecting to receive 4s in both my Maths and English, so this was an amazing surprise!”

The Thornaby resident is going on to study his second year in Art and Design with us at Stockton Riverside College next year.

Amelia

Amelia from Stockton, was absolutely buzzing with her results today! With a 4 in English Language, A* in Health and Social Care, and a pass in Functional Skills - Entry Level 3, she hopes to do further work in a Health and Business style environment."I'm so overwhelmed with my results," she said. "I almost can't believe it - you know when you want something so much and you work really hard!" She goes on to say. “I had to shield due to health issues, and I've come back today and got this amazing grade! I'm just so happy!"


The 18-year-old from Stockton hopes to eventually work in a Business Administration role within a hospital style environment.

Jessica

Four years of hard work has finally paid off for Stockton resident, Jessica, passing both her English and Maths GCSEs today!
Through tears of joy, Jessica said, "I was nervous collecting them but now I'm so happy that it's overwhelming."Jessica is not sure of her next steps just yet but she'll be spending the rest of today celebrating.

Holly

Congratulations to student, Holly, (pictured left) on passing her English GCSE today!
Holly said, “I tried my best and I’m so happy with my results.” Holly will now be progressing on to Level 3 Hairdressing at Stockton Riverside College with the ambition to own her own salon in the future.

Lucy

Stockton resident, Lucy, (pictured on the right), received the 4 she wanted in her GCSE English, and the Pass in Hairdressing!
The 17-year-old says: "I am so thrilled with my results and wasn't expecting to pass at all, so I’m just so happy! Especially given that I really struggled with lockdown and working at home, but luckily, I had the right support!"
With a passion for hairdressing, Lucy will be going on to study her Level 3 in Hairdressing with us at Stockton Riverside College next year! Congratulations Lucy!
