Freya's passion for aviation was apparent from a young age, and she recognised that studying aviation at college was the best path to fulfilling her dream of becoming cabin crew. At only 19 years old, she has already made her lifelong dream a reality and is now employed by Ryanair.

Freya attended Longfield Academy before enrolling with us here at Stockton Riverside College, where she studied Level 3 Aviation. When asked about her decision to attend Stockton Riverside College, Freya noted how the college seemed like the better option from the beginning, she said “I viewed a couple of colleges in the area, but the tutors at Stockton were evidently experienced in the industry and they made me feel welcome, I knew I’d be getting the best possible education. It’s got me to where I am now, and for that I thank my tutors.”

When asked about her experience at Stockton Riverside, Freya spoke fondly of the friends she made whilst being here, she said “They are friends for life who share the same interests”. When reflecting on her time with us Freya also noted other stand out memories, including trips to London to visit British Airways, she said “The training really made me realise how much I couldn’t wait to be crew”.

Freya highly recommends the college to anyone interested in pursuing a career in aviation, citing the knowledgeable tutors and the fantastic opportunities for additional experiences, including trips to London, Teesside Airport and being able to complete conflict training alongside the standard qualification as her main reasons.

After leaving Stockton Riverside College, Freya went straight into employment within the Aviation industry, landing the job she’s wanted for the longest time! This is one of her proudest achievements to date, along with getting the grades she hoped for.

Freya's ultimate aim for her future is to secure a position with British Airways, the airline of her dreams. For now, she is enjoying her role as cabin crew for Ryanair, where she continues to learn and grow in her career.

Freya's success proves that if you work hard, stay dedicated, and follow your passions, you can make your dreams a reality. She's a great example of how the right education and experiences can pave the way to a very bright future.
