After exploring a range of different courses and failing to find her passion, Cheyenne was starting to lose hope.

The 19-year-old from Stockton, who would eventually love to pursue a career as a neo-natal nurse, found herself lacking confidence and lacking direction. Originally signing up for the Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care course as something to fill her time, she didn’t realise it would actually change her life.

Cheyenne said: “The course really took me by surprise, not only have I completed my level 1, level 2 and level 3 qualifications, it also helped me secure full-time employment. I had no confidence at all when I started the course but now I’m a totally different person.”

Now a home care assistant, Cheyenne puts her current success down to the support she received from tutor Leanne and teaching assistant Sue, especially when it came to her interview and the knowledge she learned on the course.

She added: “The course is amazing, it not only gives you the knowledge you need for certain job roles it really prepares you for the interview and everything in between. My family and my partner are so proud of me and I’m so grateful for Leanne and all her help.”
