A single mother from Stockton went from student to full time employee after impressing her new tutor.

Charlotte was offered full time employment at tutor Amy’s laser clinic in Yarm after impressing whilst studying her Level 4 beauty qualification at Stockton Riverside College.

After bouncing from different retail jobs, she felt that now her children were in school, it was time to settle down and find a career she enjoyed.

Charlotte said: “With my children now in school, I really wanted to set a good example for them and train in a career that I really enjoyed. After completing the Level 2 and Level 3 beauty courses, I wanted to set myself out from others and give myself the extra skills and knowledge that came with the Level 4 qualification. When Amy took over teaching the course I really enjoyed working with her, I learned so much and when she offered me a job at her clinic I was over the moon.”

Having now passed her course and all of the necessary training, Charlotte is expecting to start her full-time role at Pro Laser Clinic from early August.

Charlotte added: “I really enjoyed the challenge of the Level 4 qualification, but I couldn’t have got through it without the help of Amy and my friends and family.”
