Learning Resources

We have a dedicated team of qualified and experienced staff that are happy to support LRC users to access resources and make the most of the facilities available. You will find an extensive range of resources to support your learning including:

Books, magazines, journals and newspapers (both print and digital)
Access to the college Virtual Learning Environment (Teams)
Access to a range of educational software and digital resources

Resources are available and can be borrowed, and training is available in a range of related information skills to enable you to use resources effectively. Our staff are here to help you to develop your digital skills in using a computer to produce course assignments and access online resources.

IT Facilities

Computers are available for you to use in the LRC to complete your studies.

Study Areas

The LRC has rooms and spaces available for silent study, tutorial and small collaborative areas (SRC campus).

Lending Facilities

To register to borrow items from the LRC you must have your college identity card with you. You can borrow up to 10 books.

Books are usually loaned for four weeks; however there are a number that can only be loaned for a week. Books can be renewed twice, unless the item has already been reserved by phone, online or by calling into the LRC.

Printing

Printing and photocopying (including colour printing) is available in the LRC. A limited number of print copies are available free of charge, after which printing is available at a discounted rate. A college ID card is required to use these facilities.
