Introduction

The Level 4 Cert HE Production and Technical Arts for the Stage allows you to explore many vocational specialisms, including crewing, lighting, sound and stage management. You will work with many industry professionals across real live briefs and will take part in many community performances as back stage crew taking on an appropriate technical or production roles such as the lighting operator or stage manager. This course gives you the chance to explore a range of backstage roles for theatre before allowing you to hone your skills in one specialist area for a final group production project.

Level 4 modules: • Production and Technical Arts in Context • Health, Safety and Legislation • Stage Management • Lighting Operation • Sound Operation • Planning for the Future

How will I learn

You will study the arts in a range of ways including practical workshops, lectures, seminars and tutorials. Tutorials help you to discover and develop your personal aptitude for your chosen career path.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression onto our FdA Production and Technical Arts programme.
