Prince’s Trust

What will you do?

Taking place at locations across Teesside and the local region you’ll take part in challenges and tasks, including a week-long residential. You’ll carry out community projects, work experience, improve your CV and interview skills and walk away better prepared to go back into education or find work.

Is it right for you?

If you are aged 16 to 25 and unemployed then this course offers the chance to develop confidence, motivation, tolerance, communication skills and self-belief. What’s more it’ll look great on your CV too.

Vocational

Inspiring is just one word. What the Prince’s Trust do is much more. They inspire young people. They build confidence. They train people for the working world and just as importantly they make people feel valued.

Since the Team programme was launched in 1990 over 115,000 young people have taken part, with 70% going on to secure jobs or go on to further education or training after the course.

We offer 12 week courses in a variety of locations throughout the North-East including Stockton, Middlesbrough, Bishop Auckland and Darlington. So if you want to build your confidence and your employment prospects let Prince’s Trust inspire you.

Prince’s Trust Achieve Study Programme

The Prince’s Trust Achieve Study programme is aimed at people who are not sure what vocational area is for them or who need to develop their confidence and employability skills over a full year programme.

You will study Prince’s Trust Certificate in Personal Development and Employability at E3, L1 or L2 as well as Maths and English.  A part time six month work placement is included in the course.

Attendance: 2 days per week at college plus 2 days placement

Start date: January 2018

Duration: 1 year

Location: Teesdale

What will you do?

Units include Enterprise, Customer Service, Work Experience, Money Management, Participating in Exercise and Presentation Skills.

Two days per week at college (including maths and English) and two days per week on work placement.

How will you learn?

By taking part in practical tasks and activities in the team room and the wider community. You will learn to develop your confidence and motivation and be encouraged and supported throughout.

How are you assessed?

Assessment is made on your portfolio of evidence generated by the practical activities that you take part in throughout the course.

What do you need to know?

The course is aimed at 16-18 yr olds Qualification: E3, L1 or L2 Certificate in Personal Development & Employability

During the course you can take part in sports enrichment sessions, enterprise activities, employability sessions with industry as well as visits to employers.  Also sessions with Cleveland Fire and Rescue and Barclays Bank.

 

12 Week Prince’s Trust TEAM Programme

If you are unemployed and aged 16-25yrs you can boost your confidence, meet new people, develop new skills and gain qualifications on the Prince’s Trust Team programme. You will be challenged to do a community project; making a positive difference to your community, an action packed residential week and a 2 week work placement. Focusing on skill development and having fun, the course has a strong focus on progression and developing employability skills with an average of 80% progressing onto employment or further education.

Attendance: Full time
Start date: September 2018
Duration: 12 Weeks
Location:    Teesdale
What will you do?

Team-building and problem solving activities. Take part in an action packed residential trip. Undertake a group community project and team challenge, making a positive difference to your community.

Complete two weeks’ work experience in something you’re interested in.

Develop your employability skills and update your CV

It is FREE and existing benefits are not affected. We run Team courses from: Stockton, Billingham, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Darlington, Bishop Auckland and Catterick.

In every location there are courses starting in September, January and May.
