Introduction

This is an exciting new Level 4 early years qualification which will support you to take the next steps in your career as an Early Years Practitioner. It is designed for learners who are employed in an early years setting who wish to upskill into an Advanced Practitioner role.

What will I learn

You will study NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Neuroscience in Early Years and then progress on to NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner. These qualification cover ages 0 – 5 years and comprise of 321 GLH in total. This will be delivered in college for 4 hours a week. Undertaking the NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Neuroscience in Early Years will develop your understanding of neuroscience as part of effective early years practice and it will support you in implementing positive environments for babies and children along with promoting children and young people’s development. In addition, you will learn about adverse childhood experiences and how this can impact children’s responses and behaviour. You will also have the opportunity to complete self-directed study through practitioner-led enquiry into implementing neuroscience informed changes within the setting.

Additional Information

The programme is assessed through course work which includes essays, reports, case studies, research reports and portfolio work. The full course costs £1622 and will be taught in college on Tuesdays 5-9pm. (Each individual level 4 certificate costs £811). Funding options are available for this course
