Course overview
This course will enable learners to gain or increase their knowledge of cancer. The course will support their work within the adult health and social care sectors, particularly those wanting to specialise in the area or develop employment/progression opportunities. It may also be useful for those providing informal care to those living with cancer.
This qualification covers:
Introduction to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer
Introduction to Cancer Care and Support
Introduction to End of Life and Bereavement Care
Course information
Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes or where appropriate use their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
- You must be at least 19 years old.
- You must have lived in England for a minimum of three years and/or have residency status.
- The course is free, but a £120 withdrawal or non-completion fee applies if you do not complete your course.
