Safeguarding & Welfare

Learn about the support we offer, and who to contact on campus for safeguarding advice.

On campus, we can offer support and guidance for any safeguarding and welfare needs. We’re here to ensure our students feel safe, both in and out of college. Whether it’s to contact someone on site, or learn more about our policies, scroll down for more information.

Safeguarding

Ensuring the College environment is safe means we manage the risks to our students and safeguarding underpins the College’s values. We make sure all staff are aware of their safeguarding responsibility and appropriate action is taken to protect you from harm, abuse or neglect.

We have dedicated Safeguarding and Welfare Officers who work across sites and liaise with the Local Safeguarding and Children’s Board and other agencies to ensure you stay safe.

If you require support from college staff, please speak to a member of staff or use the following email directly: safe@the-etc.ac.uk

We can support you with:

Equality and Diversity

We value the diversity of our college community and promote inclusion for all. We make sure that all of our students receive the same provision and access to our services. We encourage a culture of respect and commit to tackling prejudice at all levels. By encouraging students and staff to share their own experiences, we aim to promote mutual understanding, tolerance and respect.
