Candidates must be qualified to an advanced level or have extensive experience in the area which they are internally quality assuring. They must either be a member of an existing accredited assessment team or able to join such a team, be leading a team of assessors and be mentored by a qualified IQA.
This qualification is designed for those who are currently involved in Internal Quality Assurance Processes. The purpose of this qualification is to confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. It is intended for those who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

Candidates successfully completing the qualification can – if professional circumstances and experience permit - progress to achieve the following Leading Quality Assurance qualifications:
• Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
