Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Aviation, Travel and Tourism

Course overview

Our Level 3 aviation, travel and tourism course is designed to take you beyond the classroom and into the industry. Over the two-year program, you’ll have the opportunity to travel across the UK on some exciting educational visits to the likes of British Airways HQ and the glorious city of New York, where you’ll gain practical knowledge about the dynamic sectors of the industry.

Whether you aspire to become a cabin crew member, air traffic controller, responsible tourism advocate, travel agent, or event planner, we’ll prepare you with the skills you need to excel. Our experienced teaching staff have the latest knowledge and expertise in the industry and will guide you every step of the way.

You will learn all aspects of this exciting industry including, health & safety, handling air passengers, security procedures, aviation communications and geography.

You will also benefit from educational trips such as visits to British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Heathrow Airport and in your second year an overseas trip!

Entry requirements
A passion for the Aviation Industry and a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Math or Level 2 Diploma in Aviation.

Course information

This diploma is fully coursework based. Assessments will vary from written reports, practical activities, using a wealth of resources including an aircraft mock up and check-in area, and some classroom-based assessments.

All students will be required to wear a uniform each day they are in college. This consists of a navy suit and white shirt/blouse. As well as a college approved scarf/tie. Full details will be available during the application process.
