Course overview
Whether you want to work in a high street salon, run your own business or travel the world offering treatments on a cruise ship, a career in Hairdressing and beauty can get you there. This programme will give you the skills and knowledge you need to get started, deliver great service and master the latest techniques.
You will train you in our on-site commercial salons where you will develop the skills and knowledge you need to launch your future career. You will learn all about The Art of Dressing Hair, Shampoo and Condition the Hair and Scalp, Health & Safety, Client Consultation, manicures, pedicures and skin care.
Course information
You will be assessed carrying out practical treatments and observations, oral questioning, online multiple-choice exams and building an electronic portfolio.
After successfully completing this course you could progress to a second year of study in Level 2 Hairdressing or beauty.
If you are 19+ you can start your studies at this level upon successful interview.

You will study the theory and practical aspects of hairdressing and beauty. You will be taught the underpinning knowledge and skills to successfully perform these services.
