This qualification will increase learners’ awareness and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.
Awareness of domestic abuse and its impact is important for those working in a wide range of sectors such as healthcare, social care, childcare, education, and housing. There is a need to understand the issues, report on those who may be at risk and support signposting to relevant services.

Understand the Signs and Risk Factors Associated with Domestic Abuse
Understand the Impact of Domestic Abuse
Understand Policy, Response and Intervention in Relation to Domestic Abuse
Course information
Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes, use as APL for QCF qualifications where appropriate and use their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
