Course overview

This course will provide learners with knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health. They will gain an understanding of factors which may affect mental health including personal background or health conditions. They will also learn how to support children and young people with mental health issues, and how these issues can impact people’s lives.

<ul><li>You must be at least 19 years old.</li><li>You must have lived within England for a minimum of three years and/or have residency status.</li><li>The course is free, but there is a charge of £120 if you do not complete your work on time or if you withdraw.</li></ul>

Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
