Welcome to APTA!
Stockton Riverside College has always had a hugely successful and vibrant performing and creative arts department. There are so many talented individuals within the Tees Valley and the performing and technical arts sector and APTA aims to bring those individuals together offering post-16 provision that will prepare young people for careers in the industry.
We launched APTA to help meet the demand for highly-skilled, creative and technical people who are ready to meet the growing demand of this thriving sector. With courses in creative makeup, film and TV, acting and musical theatre, students are taught by our talented team of lecturers who have hands-on experience in the creative industries. We are committed to ensuring both the regional and national demand for a vibrant creative workforce will be met.
Margaret Armstrong Theatre
At Stockton Riverside College, we have our very own in-house theatre! Throughout the year, our students put on some amazing performances, rehearsing as close to professional standards as possible. It is no surprise that many of our students move on to some of the country’s leading stage schools and universities.
