It was game on for staff and students across the Education Training Collective as they embarked on a week of Red Nose Day sporting fun.

Books were set aside and sports shoes pulled on in a series of staff versus students matches at Stockton Riverside College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training, Redcar and Cleveland College and The Skills Academy.

“This was a chance for us to not only raise awareness of a good cause but to encourage our learners and staff to get active,” said the group’s physical wellbeing coach, Declan Paice.

With netball, football and table tennis on the timetable, he said: “It was fantastic to see so many taking part, getting away from their desks for an hour and enjoying it too.”

Red Nose Day raises awareness and funds for the work carried out by Comic Relief, a charity with a vision of a world free from poverty.
