During A level results day we also caught up with some of oufirst-year students.
Lewis, 17, wants to train as a doctor when he finishes at SRC Bede.
At the moment he likes the sound of cardio-thoracic surgery best, and he’s certainly well on his way – for his first year at Bede he has achieved AAB in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Lewis, a former Ian Ramsey Academy student, has also done some work experience at James Cook University Hospital, where he shadowed a doctor in acute medicine for a week.
When asked how his time at SRC Bede has been so far, he said: “I really like it! It’s a nice, small environment, and it’s good having small classes.”
