Introduction

Do you enjoy helping others? Do you want to work in a caring profession? Our Health & Social Care course will offer an insight into the many roles that exist in this industry and help you develop the skills you'll need to work in the health or social care sector.

What will I learn

Lessons will include activities, research, role play and discussions, you’ll learn about working in health and social care settings, different methods of communicating effectively and you will have the opportunity to work with others, producing a portfolio of evidence to include assignments, posters and research projects. You will take part in subjects that will be focused on preparing you for work and you will build on your own skills that are relevant to your career choice, such as teamworking, communication and research skills.

How will I learn

You will participate in a variety of classroom activities including research tasks and role play. You will also spend some time in our Prep for Employment lessons, where you will build a CV and examine different job roles within health and social care.
