Introduction

We believe there is nothing more important than supporting people to live their lives as independently as possible, to care for the wellbeing of others. Whether working with children, young people or vulnerable adults, it is vital you can offer a service that is caring, supportive and stimulating. This course will help you begin to develop the necessary skills in order to progress to your next level of learning, one step closer to your career choice.

What will I learn

You will start to develop the skills and knowledge needed to start your career pathway into health and social care. Your lessons will include subjects such as safeguarding, health and safety, healthy eating and more. You will also develop yourself through our Self-Development and employability subjects.

How will I learn

The qualification is delivered through a range of both theory and practical sessions, with continuing support throughout. Alongside this qualification learners you will attend functional skills or GCSE Maths and English to support your further development in these areas.

What's next

Following completion of the diploma you may apply to move on to a relevant Level 2 course in Health and Social Care, Childcare or any other level 2 course.

If you have not yet achieved your English and maths GCSEs, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main program of study*.
