Introduction

This qualification aims to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of how to work in end of life care, the role of the care worker in time of death and the loss and grief process.

This qualification covers: Understand how to Work in End of Life Care. Care Planning in End of Life Care. Understand how to Provide Support to Manage Pain and Discomfort. End of Life Care and Dementia. Understanding the Role of the Care Worker in Time of Death. Understand Loss and Grief in End of Life Care.

Module text books are provided with all learning materials included for your directed study.

What's next

Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes, use as APL for QCF qualifications where appropriate and use their newly acquired knowledge in practice. You can also apply for a Level 3 distance learning course in End of Life Care.
