Careers in video game production and creative media have been one of the most diverse sectors in recent years. With digital technology and video game sales booming, your ideas can quickly be brought to life.
Our Creative Media and Games course will teach you the technical skills to give you the knowledge and inspiration to explore your own ideas using technologies such as looking at 2D and 3D games and animation
With a focus on practical work, you will be creating your own projects and assignments in our design studios. Working to briefs based on the real world, you’ll get to see what life’s really like in this vibrant industry.
Course information
Units are a mixture of internally assessed coursework which are assessed by your lecturers, and an externally assessed project at the end of the course.
Progress to the Level 3 course in Games Design or a Level 3 Extended Diploma in a creative subject (such as Film & TV Production or Art and Design).
An interest in working in the games and media industries and a relevant level 1 qualification or four GCSEs at grades 3 or above, including English and Maths.
One of your qualifications should be in a creative subject as you will be introduced to basic artistic skills.
The course also covers functional skills to help you improve your maths and English if required.
You will learn through both practical and theoretical knowledge.
