This qualification is tailor-made for individuals who thrive in practical, hands-on environments, eager to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of construction. The Maintenance operations course gives students the chance to work on maintaining buildings and making additional repairs.
Along with the health and safety and principles of construction units you will study and put into practice, small scale building repairs, painting and decorating repairs, plastering repairs, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
Course information
Students are assessed on both practical and theory activities. Module based assignments, graded pass, merit, distinction. The health and safety/principles are both online exams.
This course would be ideal if you wanted to progress into a property maintenance apprenticeship.
GCSE grade 4 in both English and maths or a level 1 qualification in construction skills.
All PPE, tools and equipment provided.
The course consists of both practical and theory sessions. Students will engage in a wide range of activities including the use of technology, construction materials, and tools.
