Through training in our on-site salon, you will learn treatments including manicure, pedicure, facials, lash and brow treatments, and makeup application. You will also learn about health and safety and how the body works.
Course information
You will be assessed through practical assessments and observations, oral questioning, and theory/multiple choice tests. You will carry out online exams and build an e-portfolio of evidence.
After successfully completing this course, you could progress to a third year of study in Level 3 Beauty Therapy or progress onto the T Level in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy.
GCSE’s grade 4 or above in English and Maths, or a Level 1 qualification in Beauty Therapy and an English GCSE at grade 4.
Full time students will attend work experience as part of their course.
Functional skills or GCSE attendance is compulsory unless you have a grade 4 in English and Maths.
You will need to purchase a uniform and kit to use in the salon.
Practical skills training will take place in our newly refurbished, state-of-the-art salon!
