You will learn about the maintenance and use of woodworking hand tools. You will learn how to cut, shape, trim, fix and finish a range of materials, as well as basic wood jointing techniques. Lessons also cover safe working practices, quantities and communication.

<p>Two GCSEs graded between 1-9 would be desirable**.</p><p>**If you do not already have an English and maths GCSE grade 4-9, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.</p>

Course information

Students take an externally set examination.

Students are expected to come to every session equipped with pen, pencil and relevant note taking equipment. All other equipment will be provided.
