Course overview
If you have a passion for creativity and visual expression, this level 1 course is the perfect for beginners. Throughout this program, you will have the opportunity to explore a range of art and design techniques, develop your skills, and create work that showcases your unique vision. Whether you’re interested in progressing to pursuing a career or simply want to indulge your love for art, this course will help you unlock your potential and take your skills to the next level.
You will learn to develop your skills in a range of techniques including, drawing, painting, fine arts, textiles, graphics, sculpture, and photography, which will help you decide on the direction you want to go in. You will also learn about a range of different careers such as product designer, fashion designer, model maker and set designer.
Course information
A portfolio of tutor-led practical and work-related activities, including a final piece which will be exhibited in the end of year exhibition.
You can progress on to a relevant Level 2 course in the creative industries such as Art & Design and Games Design.
An interest in art and design or the creative industries and a good attitude.
If you do not already have an English and Maths GCSE grade 4-9, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main program of study*.
