Course overview
Are you determined, self-disciplined and confident using online learning tools? Our unique GCSE maths delivery option is perfect for those learners with a strong knowledge of ‘basic’ maths skills but who cannot attend a weekly session. Online delivery is an exciting way to learn and gain a GCSE qualification to support you taking the next steps in your education, career or everyday life.
You will be assigned an online tutor who will be in touch with you on a weekly basis to provide tuition on a range of topics including: Number, Algebra, Ratio, Geometry, Measures, Statistics and Probability.
Course information
Assessment is by exams in May/ June, these dates are nationally set and cannot be amended. These must be sat at the college and an online version is not available.
GCSE Maths is an essential requirement for many employment opportunities. This qualification will also support progression into further study of your choice.
We ask all learners to complete a short assessment to make sure they are placed on the most appropriate level.
Free, for those who do not have an A* to C /9-4 grade GCSE.
Weekly contact from your online tutor who will provide materials in a range of formats. The focus of this course is on independent learning and you will be expected to submit your assessments regularly to your tutor. The course will be delivered via the college’s Microsoft Teams site. A variety of resources will be available to cover all the topics required, these include:

- Video tutorials
- Online quizzes
- Downloadable documents/ assessments
- Maths Watch (an exciting package with a vast amount of online activities).
