Course overview

This qualification is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of autism. Successful completion of this qualification will allow learners to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of autism, which would support progression onto appropriate qualifications and into employment within the health and social care sector.

<ul><li>You must be at least 19 years old.</li><li>You must have lived within England for a minimum of three years and/or have residency status.</li><li>It is highly recommended that you have completed a level 2 in this subject area and already hold GCSE grade 4 / C in English.</li></ul>

Course information

Assessment involves completion of relevant units which are completed as distance learning and submitted online to the college.

The course is £811; however, you can study for free if any of the following applies:

  • You are 19 or over and do not already have a level 3 qualification
  • You already have a level 3 qualification or higher but earn below the National Living Wage annually
  • You already have a level 3 qualification or higher but are unemployed You must currently live in the Tees Valley area to qualify for any of the above funding. If none of the above applies to you, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from the Student Loans Company.
