Here at Stockton Riverside College, our talented students are always looking for ways to put their amazing skills to good use and give back to the community, raising money for local charities close to our heart no matter how big or small.

Luckily for us, two of our fantastic Level 2 Nail Service students Melissa and Gemma decided to make the most of their talents and offer a Gel nail polish treatment to staff and students to raise money for NeoAngels, a local charity specialising in supporting families of sick and premature babies on the Neonatal Unit of the University Hospital of North Tees.

NeoAngels do incredible work for families and parents of premature babies in the care of the Neonatal Unit, offering array of services to families including financial support; help with food, travel and parking costs, as well as emotional and bereavement support. They also work closely with the amazing Neonatal medical team at the hospital, meaning they’re able to implement new practices methods quickly and effectively to best support baby, mum and dad and siblings too.

Setting up their spot in the college reception area, the girls suggested a recommended donation of £3 with the promise of a fabulous manicure, and as usual they did not disappoint! We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that came along to support our Nail students and raise money for such a great cause – don’t forget if you’d like to donate or find out more about the amazing work NeoAngels do, you can visit their website by clicking here.
