Starting off as a Level 2 Business Admin apprentice, Hannah has come a long way in three years.
Hannah joined the college on a level 2 apprenticeship after leaving school, progressed to level 3 and then decided that a career in Human Resources was for her. She said: “I started out as an apprentice in a HR team, and I soon realised that I love working with people and knew this was the career path for me.”
The 20-year-old, from Acklam, was offered a permanent job with our HR team as an assistant, so chose to study further on our Level 3 in Human Resource Management course, and Level 2 in Payroll Administration to build her skills.
Speaking about her time on the courses, she said: “Doing the two courses has given me a real insight into the industry and I have learnt things that I can now get involved in at work.”
When asked if she would recommend the courses, she said: “Of course! They have been really fun, and they give you a good start in the industry.”
On completing her qualifications and gaining the relevant experience she needed, she is now working as a HR Administrator at the college and was nominated for Student of The Year by her tutor.
The former Acklam Grange student is now onto her fifth course at the college. She is studying Level 5 in Human Resource Management and hopes to become a HR Advisor in the future.
