Sweet treats and a morning cuppa offered the perfect start to the day at Stockton Riverside College, as students and staff joined the World’s Biggest Coffee morning.

The fun event was organised to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Chloe Woods, the college’s apprenticeship recruitment administrator, said: “This is a charity close to everyone’s hearts, as everyone has been affected by cancer in some way.

“It is great how much our students and staff get involved in an event like this, whether that be baking or buying and eating the cakes.”

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, with people across the UK asked to tuck in and help make a difference.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical and financial support to people facing cancer.

This is the third consecutive year that Stockton Riverside College has joined the national event, this time raising £188.46.

Chloe said: “It is a great chance to get together, enjoy a few treats and know that you are raising money for such a good cause.”
