Minimum 4 years’ experience in repairing vehicles in class 4 and 7 (M1 and N1), you should have a current full driving licence, you cannot have any convictions relating to acts of violence or intimidation. You should have a level 3 qualification in vehicle repair (if you don’t have a level 3 please contact the motor vehicle department and we may be able to still help).

Introduction

Most modern cars have intelligent systems to warn drivers of dangers, and in some cases make corrections for the driver. The sensors that operate these systems will need calibration after wheel alignment has been corrected or a windscreen replaced. This qualification will show you how to complete this and your certificates may one day be needed by insurance companies to verify you are competent.

What's next

On completion of this course the DVSA will complete a further practical assessment with you in your place of work and on completion you will become an MOT tester.
