Introduction

Do you have an interest in maths and would like to develop your skills whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification? Perhaps you are furthering your education or career and GCSE Maths is an essential requirement for your next step? Or maybe you want to develop confidence to enable you to support children and grandchildren in their studies? GCSE Maths could be the course for you!

What will I learn

Our tutors adopt a range of teaching methods to suit an individual’s needs as they build confidence around the GCSE maths curriculum. You will study a programme that encompasses the whole of the maths curriculum this will include; Number, Algebra, Ratio, Geometry, Measures, Statistics and Probability. Your learning will be targeted to your starting point following diagnostic assessments.

How will I learn

Students are required to attend 1 x 2.5 hour class per week (daytime or evening); each week students will be set homework to support their development. You will be given an account to MathsWatch which is an online programme with a vast amount of short online activities. You will also be encouraged to join our Microsoft Teams site for online support and materials.

GCSE Maths is an essential requirement for many employment opportunities. This qualification will also support progression into further study of your choice.
