The Advanced Diploma is an essential component in your journey to your Professional Qualifying Exams. This course is a natural progression from the Foundation Diploma in Shipping and is also suitable for those with significant industry experience.

What will I learn

You will cover two modules: • Shipping Business – The Business entity, Business sectors, Ship Chartering, Ship Management, Port and Liner Agency, Business ethics, Geography of Trade, International trade and finance, Business Communications, Shipping Organisations, Quality Management systems. • Port and Terminal Management – ensuring a full understanding of port and Terminal management including Ports and their functions, ships and cargoes, Trade routes, Ship registration and classification, Port Management, competition and marketing, Financial and legal matters and Port and Terminal Ownership
