Introduction

We all want to look our best and as a hair stylist you can help people to do just that. Our hairdressing courses will give you the skills you need to get started. Add to that your own passion and ambition and you could go on to work as a mobile hair stylist, run your own business or work in a salon.

What will I learn

Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques. Creatively colour and lighten hair. Style hair using various pin up techniques. Learn extensive knowledge on colour correction.

What's next

You could go on to find work as a senior stylist, barber, salon manager or assessor to name just a few career pathways.

Additional Information

You will need to organise a placement in a hairdressing salon. This will be one day a week from September to December.

You'll undertake work experience in a salon to really get a feel for what it's like being a hairdresser.

Future opportunities and good range of guest speakers to show new and up and coming trends.

Educational visits to hair exhibitions.
