Introduction

Designed for those with special educational needs (SEN), our Foundation Skills courses are here to help you achieve your individual goals. Working in small groups you will make new friends, develop teamwork skills and increase your confidence and motivation. You will also have the chance to take part in some great trips and you will have fun learning with our range of enterprise, performing arts and digital courses.

What will I learn

You will have dedicated time to develop your skills in the vocational area of your choice. This will help you prepare for your progression to a vocational programme and develop your experiences. You will have the chance to work towards your personal goals, improve your employability skills and put your new found skills into practice.

How will I learn

You will work in small groups and take part in a range of practical activities while recording your progress along the way. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a work placement. We have an independent suite where you can improve your skills in preparing for adulthood. You can develop your skills in retail, handling money and so much more by working in our very own Thrift Shop.

What's next

You might choose to continue your studies by moving onto the next level or you might choose to progress to a vocational course. Alternatively, you could move onto a supported internship or go into supported employment.
