Introduction

This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals, e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of the IEE Wiring Regulations.

What will I learn

The aim of this course is to enable the candidate to demonstrate that they are conversant with the IEE Wiring Regulations BS7671 2022. There are eight outcomes to this unit; A knowledge and understanding of: • Scope, object and fundamental principles • Definitions • Assessment of general characteristics • Protection for safety • Selection and erection of equipment • Inspection and testing • Special installations or locations • Appendices

How will I learn

You will learn via a mixture of teaching sessions, candidate course material and tutor/peer discussions with on-going formative assessment throughout the duration of the course.
