Course overview

On our courses you’ll not only get the practical skills you need to find work but our team of tutors, who are all industry experienced, will help give you the confidence and know-how that could even see you go on to set up your own business.
You will improve on your knowledge skills and behaviours from level 1 and move onto subjects which will include servicing, removing and replacing tyres, exhausts, brakes, steering and suspension components. You will study practical skills in our workshop and theory in lectures.
You will need to be able to engage with physical activity at an appropriate level and be focussed on your own development and learning.
Course information
Assessment is carried out by observation of practical ability, completion of a portfolio of evidence and online awarding body tests.
A Level 1 qualification in Motor Vehicle studies.
If you don’t already have an English and maths GCSE grade 9-4/A*-C, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main program of study*.

You will divide your time in college between practical and theory studies with further sessions in personal development and employability.
