Course overview
We all want to look our best and as a hair stylist, you can help people to do just that. Our hairdressing courses will give you the skills you need to get started. Add to that your own passion and ambition and you could go on to work as a mobile hair stylist, run your own business or work in a salon.
You will learn skills including styling, blow drying, setting, colouring and cutting hair with techniques becoming more advanced as you progress. You will also learn about health and safety, customer service and reception and we will help you build the confidence to offer client consultations.
Course information
You will be assessed carrying out practical assessments and observations, oral questioning, theory/multiple choice tests. You will carry out online exams and building an e-portfolio.
Diploma in Hairdressing Level 3
Functional Skills/GCSE attendance is compulsory unless you have grade 4 in Maths and English.
You will be required to attend classes in full college uniform. You will be required to bring your kit to practical sessions.
You will need to purchase a tunic and your personal hairdressing equipment. The costs of these items will be discussed with you prior to enrolment
