Course overview
This qualification will provide learners with an opportunity to develop an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) relevant to their current or future roles and will equip them with basic understanding of techniques for preventing and addressing ACEs in practice. The qualification focuses on the 0-8 age range.

Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
Understand Strategies to Improve Outcomes for Children Affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences
Course information
Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes, use as APL for QCF qualifications where appropriate and use their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
A willingness to develop and increase your knowledge and understanding of adverse childhood experiences and how to support children up to age 8.
