Course overview

This qualification aims to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of person-centred thinking, planning and review. It will also provide learners with knowledge of how to work with individuals to carry out activities specified in their care or support plan, and how to thoroughly understand person-centred assessment, planning, implementation and review.

This qualification covers:

Understanding Person-Centred Thinking and Planning.

Care Planning for the Care Worker.

Understanding Nutrition and Hydration in Health and Social Care Settings.

Principles of Supporting an Individual to Maintain Personal Hygiene.

Understanding Continence Care.

Principles of Supporting Sleep.

<ul><li>You must be at least 19 years old.</li><li>You must have lived within England for a minimum of three years and/or have residency status.</li><li>The course is free, but there is a charge of £120 if you do not complete your work on time or if you withdraw.</li></ul>

Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
