On our courses you’ll not only get the enhanced practical skills you need to find work but our team of tutors, who are all industry experienced, will help give you the confidence and know how that could even see you go on to set up your own business.

What will I learn

You will build on your skills including fixtures, door linings, joists, hanging doors molding, skirting and erecting timber frames. You’ll pick up maintenance skills, communication and safe work practice. You will also get the chance to take a work placement.

How will I learn

Students train and undertake continuous course work and practical assessments which will be set in both a practical and theoretical context.

Additional Information

Students will undertake mandatory worthwhile work experience within the first year of the programme. This will be organized and managed by a dedicated placement officer and the wide network of collaborative partnerships and companies within the industry that work with the college to give students experience.

You will have the opportunity to develop real-work skills.

High pass rates and good progression to Level 3 and apprenticeship programmes.
